Isle of Dogs got me in the mood to finally sit down and watch Kubo and the Two Strings. I’m very displeased. This is the most gorgeous stop motion film that I have ever seen, but the story was so disjointed and empty. There was no earned familiarity and charcters seemed to change sentence by sentence. I’m so mad because it was so gorgeous. Strike three Laika Studios. They can’t string (sigh) a story together fo nuthin’.

I just watched Isle of Dogs alone in an empty theatre which is a good thing so no one could hear all of my emotions.
